Just Married!!!!!

Anders and I have bee n together for 17 years (!). I was very young when we met but i knew right away that he was my man!!! After many discussions we finally decide that we will get married on our next holiday.
We arrived in Langkawi on 19th December 2009 but all the documents and paperwork required for the legal processing in Langkawi were prepared and done in Sweden.
There were so many things to take care of and so many things to remember. Even so we could not have done it without Mr. Adam Malik and Mr. Affendy. They took care of everything and made us a wonderful day.
In the morning of 14th January 2010, we went to Kuah town for the legal ceremony. Had to signed so many papers and shook so many hands that our heads were spinning around.

WHY LANGKAWI?
Coming up with “The Wedding Location ” is always a huge decision for any couple. Fraught with difficulty and fear that the “right” location has been missed. So initially we work around the things that we did NOT want.
We didn’t want i) a conventional “big white wedding” , ii) in a church , iii) in the UK. My wife would find injecting her eyeballs with venomous spider eggs preferrable.
Our shortlist comprised The Maldives, Fiji, Australia and Malaysia.

Four Seasons Langkawi Wedding Experience

Our marriage took place on 10th December 2009 at the lovely Four Seasons Resort on the magical island of Langkawi.
With the stunning Tanjung Rhu beach as the setting for the wedding ceremony, Amy was led onto the beach by the traditional Malaysian wedding march of the Kompang troops.

Just wanted her long awaited dream holiday here to be captured and remembered forever, Tatiana decided to engage our services and she requested Nabilah to be her photographer for the day.
Coming from the cold city of Novosibirsk in Russia, the holiday here with sun, sand and sea is a dream come true. Being a photography enthusiasm herself, she really wanted to album her holiday here in Langkawi.
Here are some highlights from the photo session. All photograph were taken by my daughter Nabilah, and I must say its a job well done!!!!
I am more than satisfied and some are extremely good masterpiece.

Tropical Beach Wedding with Malaysia Flavour

Erica and John had their wedding here recently with a mix Malaysian culture to blend with the exotic tropic surroundings. This lovely American couple had their private wedding blessing witness by the nature of Langkawi.
Walking by the aisle accompanied by the Malay Kompang troops, they look simply stunning. Both shed some tears as they repeat the marriage vows read by Adam.
Right after the ceremony we went around this lovely resort for some photo opportunities. Here are some preview from their wedding.

Shauna and Troy’s Wedding Caressed by Nature

Shauna and Troy decides to have their wedding somewhere quite, romantic and caressed by nature. Langkawi fits the bill and after doing some research decided to contact the ever reliable Mr.Adam to make their dream come true.
The choice of Tanjung Sanctuary Resort as their wedding venue was another excellent decision as the resort is nestled within a pristine tropical rainforest leading down to a large private sandy beach, fresh water streams and rocky outcrops. This setting was just perfect for Shauna and Troy.
Ironically this will be their first wedding they will be hosting after they reopen last May. The resort was closed last year for total upgrading.

Tropical Beach Wedding

It was a dream come true for this lovely English couple to have their wedding registration and ceremony in this beautiful island of Langkawi.
Laura and Steve had their legal documentation signed in Langkawi Registration office near Kuah at around 11.30am witness by Laura’s mother and her close friend. Both Laura and Steve looks cheerful throughout the ceremony.

Annette & Manfred’s 25th Anniversary

It was their 25th Anniversary together and the have chosen Langkawi has their location for this very special moment.
Annette had email me 8 months back however it was in German. Had to forward the email to my good friend Eva Zimmermann of Blue Water Star Sailing . She not only help translate but took over the correspondence till the end. Thanks Eva so much, for being very helpful as usual.
Annette and Manfred had even made arrangement for make up and hair do specially for this photo shoot. Their room were also decorated with flowers, balloons and banner. And I was quite amazed with their effort.
The weather was also kind to them as it was hot and sunny where we were unlike in Kuah where it was raining.
To Annette and Manfred, I would like to wish you a very Happy Anniversary and hope many more to come.

Solemnization & Wedding of Azura and Hasani

30th September & 1st October
On 30th. September ( 11th Shawal), Noor Azurah Othman and Hasani had their solemnization at the new Candek Kura Mosque right after the Isyak Prayers.
The ceremony were later followed by a simple feast, known in Malay as “kenduri” over at the bride’s house not far from the mosque.
The “majlis bersanding” ceremony were held a day later with the groom arriving along with his entourages from Jitra around noon, met by his bride. Both bride and groom looking smart on their red songket as they walks in.

After many months of planning, hundreds of phone calls and a ton of
emails, our day was finally here - Art and Sabrina’s wedding at the
Andaman.
It was a day filled with excitement and anticipation as the
hours of planning is now past and we leave the rest to lady luck. Our
greatest apprehension lay with the weather as a thunderstorm brewed
just hours ahead of our wedding. What was meant to be a beach wedding
will have to be moved indoors, but hey that’s life! It is believed by
the Chinese that rain brings good fortunes, and we had it by the
bucket full!

The 7th. COSTAM/SFRR (Asia/Malaysia) International Workshop were officiated by His Royal Highness The Regent Of Perak, Raja Nazrin Shah.
The 4 days workshop were held at Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa from 9 - 12 July. Over 300 speakers and delegates from all over Asia attended the workshop.

Cherry & Michael Fratto’s Wedding - Four Seasons Langkawi

On 24th June 2009, the sun rose to another gorgeous day in Langkawi, Malaysia, but this day was super special - our wedding day.
We enjoyed a nice big breakfast, had our omelette cooked for us perfectly, and then went down to enjoy a quick dip in the ‘adult’ pool.
Then it was time to start our pampering together: Thai massages, manicure and pedicure…..bliss!

Black & White Photography

I get a lot of queries on whether I take photographers in colour or black and white. Mostly I shoot in colours now days and do my conversion to black and white in the post production phase.
While most digital camera offers you the option to shoot in black and white or sepia mode, I prefer to shoot in colour first and later convert it. I have better control over the end result if I have the colour data to work with in my post production.

The Walk For Life 2009 Langkawi was aimed to help raise funds for the less fortunate, beneficiary namely the Langkawi Welfare Organisation (Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat) in aid of education program forDown Syndrome, Autistic kids (Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti) & Orphanage Home (Rumah Yatim Piatu) in Malaysia through the Fund Walk.
